What we’re looking for
Simply Benefits is looking for an experienced, growth-minded Group Account Executive to grow Advisor and Brokerage relationships across Western Canada, drive new business and support the expansion of our digital group benefits solution.
This is a remote role, preferably based in Calgary or the surrounding area, with regular travel across BC, AB, SK and MB.
Who you are
You’re a relationship-focused group benefits professional with experience in the Advisor and Brokerage channel. You’re confident presenting, negotiating and developing new business while delivering a strong Advisor and client experience.
You’re self-motivated, proactive and growth-minded, with the ability to manage a territory and sales pipeline independently while collaborating with a broader team.
What you’ll do
You’ll drive new group benefits business by building and strengthening Advisor and Brokerage relationships across Western Canada. You’ll identify growth opportunities, expand the Simply Benefits Advisor network, support new and existing Brokerage partnerships, and present proposals, renewals and platform demonstrations. You’ll educate partners on our products and value proposition, stay current on industry and competitor trends, manage your sales pipeline, collaborate with Sales, Service, Underwriting and Leadership, represent Simply Benefits at meetings and industry events, and travel throughout BC, AB, SK and MB as required.
What you need:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Group Service Representative, Group Account Executive or similar role with a group insurer, TPA, Brokerage or comparable organization
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian group benefits industry
- Experience working with Advisors and/or Brokerage partners
- Proven ability to build relationships and generate new business
- Strong sales, presentation, negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to independently manage a territory, sales pipeline and competing priorities
- Growth-minded, self-motivated and proactive
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Western Canada
- Valid driver’s license
- LLQP license an asset
- CEBS designation an asset
What we can offer
- Base salary of $75,000-$100,000, dependent on experience

Compensation
